7 Escondido, San Marcos, Vista, and Fallbrook Hospitals that Carry Rattlesnake Anti-Venin

After a rattlesnake bite, pets and humans alike must immediately get anti-venin shots. Yet, not all veterinary hospitals in our area carry rattlesnake anti-venin. Put these phone numbers in your phone now in case a rattlesnake bites your dog. Quick response is critical.

Here in San Diego North County Inland, our unusually warm late winter and a record March heat wave brought the rattlesnakes out earlier. Further, good early-winter rains boosted vegetation and rodent prey, two factors fueling the rattlesnake population.

I’m so impressed that this Veterinary Snakebite 911 website exists. I used the site to find the veterinary hospitals and clinics that carry the anti-venin that could save your pet’s life. Consider putting one or more of these numbers in your phone, and tagging it with “Rattlesnake.”
